Our founder, Zuimei Okuyama, who is a passionate ramen enthusiast, wants to share the authentic flavours of Japan with their community. Zuimei Okuyama
Zuimei Okuyama is the founder of Touhenboku Ramen. With a deep passion for Japanese cuisine, Okuyama founded the restaurant in 2009 with the goal of bringing authentic ramen to Toronto. Born and raised in Japan, Okuyama honed his ramen-making skills from renowned ramen masters across the country. He is known for his unwavering dedication to excellence and commitment to using only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. Okuyama's innovative flavors and techniques have earned Touhenboku Ramen a reputation as a trailblazer in the ramen scene. His vision and passion continue to drive the success of the restaurant, making it a beloved destination for authentic ramen lovers.
